Welcome to The Center for Play Therapy!
"Play is the highest expression of human development in childhood, for it alone is the free expression of what is in a child's soul." - Friedrich Froebel
Play Therapy
Play is the natural language of children, young and old, and can give meaning when words can not be found. Through play therapy, children, adolescents, and families can find healing and new meaning in their life experiences.
Creative Therapy
Creative expression is encouraged and supported in this adaptation of play therapy. We use techniques that include drawing, painting, using Play-Doh, sandtray work, just to name a few.
Family Therapy
Family Therapy for all types of families (i.e., traditional, blended, same-sex, adopted, step, single, etc.) strengthens the parent-child relationship directly and ultimately everyone in the family benefits.
Caregiver Support Sessions
These are individual meetings with the caregiver(s) (i.e., parents, guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles, foster parents, etc.) that provide support and guidance in helping your child develop into the best person he or she can be. These are not therapy sessions, although provide important information and navigation through the challenges and joys of raising a child.
