Take 25 Child Safety Event
The Center for Play Therapy is incredibly happy to announce it is teaming up with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to host the Take 25 Event that promotes safety by asking parents/guardians/the community-at-large to take 25 minutes to speak to children about safety. This event will be on May 25th, 2014 and will include a multitude of safety booths, activities, games, prizes, resources for parents/teachers/the community, as well as food and beverages! Please check back here often for more updated news as we get closer to this super important event that will promote child safety and education to all about safety and what we can do as a community to make our neighborhood safer!
I am asking local businesses to download and print out Sally the Safety Saurus and post it in their storefront window so it can be viewed by any child/parent/citizen that walks by. This icon will serve as a visual reminder for children and teens who are feeling unsafe and needing to seek immediate safety out of harms way. Please support the need to strengthen our community and protect our children.
